Doug Kremm (he/him) first encountered the dharma in 2012 while studying philosophy at Harvard University, where he later earned his Ph.D. His practice is grounded in Theravada Buddhism, especially the Thai Forest tradition, and in close engagement with the early Buddhist discourses in their original language. A former professor and high school teacher, Doug has shared the dharma and taught meditation in high school and college settings, and he enjoys working with people of all ages to help them develop inner qualities that support greater freedom and clarity in their lives. His teaching style is spontaneous and intuitive; while staying rooted in the classical teachings, he prioritizes responsiveness to the needs of the moment over prepared material or lessons.
Doug has recently begun teaching at Insight Community of Western Massachusetts (IWM), where he also facilitates the 35 and Under sangha and serves on the Board of Directors. He also serves as a regular mentor for the teen retreat at the Insight Meditation Society in Barre, MA.
